About Us

We are a non-denominational church associated with the Christian Churches/Churches of Christ. We worship God with a few classic hymns but mostly contemporary Christian praise music. We preach sermons from the Bible emphasizing the lordship of Jesus Christ. Click the “contact” link if you have any questions. Everyone is welcome to come as they are and join us this Sunday!

Our Programs

Children's Wing

Our church values your children as human beings. We believe they are valuable, useful and loved by God.  One of the ways we express this is through our Children’s Wing, a space designed and designated just for Children’s Ministry.  We utilize open and observable classrooms with two volunteers per classroom and an electronic sign-in and sign-out system to help ensure your children can learn and grow in an environment you can trust.  We strive to provide an age appropriate classroom environment combined with age appropriate curriculum for each group of learners.

Children's Sunday School

Children ages birth through walking will receive safe and quality care in our nursery, while pre-K through fifth grade will participate in fun age appropriate Bible lessons.  Class meets from 9:30 to 10:30 on Sunday mornings.

Jr. High Sunday School

Sixth through Eighth grade students deepen their friendships while studying and discussing how the Bible applies to their lives. Class meets from 9:30 to 10:30 on Sunday mornings.

High School Sunday School

Ninth through twelfth grade students are taught through a four year Bible survey covering the entirety of scripture from Genesis to Revelation.  Class meets from 9:30 to 10:30 on Sunday mornings.

Adult Sunday School

Adults meet from 9:30 to 10:30 every Sunday morning to encourage, pray, and study God’s Word.

Sunday Morning Worship Service

An encouraging service where our congregation participates in worshiping our Lord through contemporary music and hymns, offering communion, and a sermon. We meet in the sanctuary from 10:45AM to 12:00PM every Sunday morning.  Nursery and toddler classes are available during this time.

Jr. High and High School Youth Group

A low stress time where youths come together to build friendships, create memories, and apply the truths of Christianity to their daily struggles. We meet on Wednesdays from 6:30PM to 8:00PM.  Junior High and High School meet separately during this time.

Small Groups

Small groups meet on different days and and at different times of the week.  Each small group strives to care for each other while living out the Kingdom of God in their lives.  All Christians are encouraged to participate.

Women's Ministry

Ladies at Comstock Church of Christ can participate in a Women’s Small Group as well as a yearly Women’s Sunday School, a Christmas soup and salad supper and a Spring tea party.

Community Outreach

We strive to share God’s love for humanity through our actions in the Comstock community with events such as our Back-To-School Carnival, Easter Egg Hunt, Halloween Trunk-or-Treat, and Impact Kalamazoo.  We also support local missions such as Kalamazoo Gospel Mission, Loaves and Fishes, Ministry With Community, and Red Cross Blood Drive.

Missions Outreach

We support five missions in the US, two others in Mexico and Jamaica, and a contingency/benevolence fund for meeting pressing needs. Our people have a passion for working with Casas por Cristo to build houses in Mexico.

Binky Patrol

Binky Patrol is an all-volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to making blankets and giving them away to children who are ill, abused, in shelters and hospitals, and experiencing any type of trauma. Blankets can be sewn, quilted, crocheted, knitted, or tied.  A chapter of Binky Patrol meets the third Wednesday of each month from 2:30PM to 8:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall, where we work on our donations.
